Andy joined GC Innovation America in 2019 from PTT Global Chemical. He has over 20 years of experience in the chemical and energy industry with significant part of his career devoted to executing investment projects, which included joint ventures in Asia Pacific and business acquisitions in the US and Europe. In addition to leading investment execution, Andy also held executive roles in portfolio management, corporate strategy and business planning.
Andy holds a MS in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and MS in Industrial Administration (MBA) from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
Tina joined GCIA in 2009 and currently leads the corporate venture capital and technology scouting activities for GC Group in North America. She brings in 15 years of experience in petrochemical and biotech industries serving in various capacities, including R&D, scale up & technology transfer, application development, and business development.
Tina holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and a Certificate in Management of Technology from Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Private Equity and Venture Capital program.
Tim joined GCIA from GE Ventures in 2018, and drives corporate venture capital investments from thesis development and origination, through deal evaluation and execution. He has a background in leading federal aerospace and healthcare system acquisition programs, medical device product development, and formerly served as a patent examiner at the USPTO for chemical and material compositions. An entrepreneur at heart, he has started 3 businesses (the first while in High School). Tim holds a joint M.S. in Engineering and Management from MIT, and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Lisa joined GCIA in early 2019. Lisa performs market research and thesis development in a variety of investment areas as well as sources and evaluates deals for possible venture investment.
Prior to joining GCIA, Lisa spent over 15 years at Foresight Science & Technology, a consulting firm providing technical and commercialization assistance to startups and other small companies, primarily those receiving federal SBIR funds. These companies spanned a broad range of markets including chemicals, materials, medical devices and therapies, and energy. Lisa holds a MS in Environmental Engineering from Tufts University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
Tony joined GCIA in 2017. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluating opportunities for corporate venture investment and collaboration partnership in a range of emerging technologies in North America. Tony also participates in post-deal management to strengthen collaboration with portfolio companies and market research to form new corporate strategies.
Prior to joining GCIA, Tony was Lead Analyst at Lux Research, where he advised Global-1000 corporations, venture capital, and government agencies on strategies in material-based technologies. Tony holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Boston College and B.S in Physics from Peking University in Beijing.
